This unit uses the latest LED technology to give a energy efficient, very long life light that is the most energy efficient billboard lighting system available. The light also has unique colour capabilities.

 The unit is designed to be easily fitted to new or existing billboards of almost any make.

 The unit can be supplied as either an insert for fitting to your existing light fitting or we can supply the unit as a ready to go complete unit in either our own cases or those of most light manufactures 

 Retrofitting to existing light units is an easy one-man operation that takes less than 10 minutes. It is as quick as changing a normal bulb. Only minimal rewiring of the light unit is required and all required materials are supplied 

In most cases the mounting plate is designed to replace the normal clear lens component of the light and uses the same attachment clips or screws

Specifications:  
Unlike normal bulb systems, the LEDs used in our system are embedded in a patented lens system so that all the light from the unit is contained in a tight beam that ensure the light is directed to where it is needed. This combined with very efficient electronics means that almost all the power that enters our system appears as light. Unlike other systems our quoted power rating is the total required input power to the system, not just the bulb power as is often the case. In the normal discharge bulb system commonly used in billboard lighting input power can be 50% more than the stated bulb power due to losses in the inverter. Our system also has an almost perfect power factor.  

A further advantage is that the beam is very directional and all available light is focused on the billboard itself, which adds to effective light output.  

The light that is generated is a intense white light that is tightly held within the indicated beam angle. When used at the specified height the light gives a rectangular light pattern ranging from 100 lux in the centre area to 80 lux at the edge of the indicated coverage area. Other colours -red, blue, green and amber- are available on request 

Lights can be provided in both heritage and normal street light designs.

 Ultra Reliability and long life  
The ultra reliability of the light combined with it very long life means that there is no expensive regular maintenance required of the bulbs. In most cases the lights will never need attention after fitting for the live of the billboard. This alone will often justify the use of these units over conventional bulb systems. There are also no outages until bulbs are replaced . This can lead to safety concerns or financial loss.

 Variable colour light output  
Due to the nature of the LED system used it is possible to change rapidly and reliably from an intense white to a range of other colours including blue, red and green. This allows creative designers to have the option of flashing hidden message or changing the emphasis of the billboard’s message by changing the colour spectrum in use. For example if the blue spectrum is removed, any part of the billboard coloured blue will look black. Switching on the blue spectrum will now make the blue areas appear as if backlit. The options are enormous.  

 Battery backup  
Due to the nature of the power systems we use and the comparative low power levels of our light systems, We are able to offer as an option a standby battery system that will power the light for a period of up to 2 hours in the event of power failures. The battery is automatically recharged when the power returns. This has obvious uses in critical safety applications such as warning signs and can also be financially beneficial for commercial billboards if contracts require constant illumination of the billboard at all times.
