• The unit can be supplied as either an insert for fitting to your existing light fitting or we can supply the unit as a ready to go complete unit in either our own cases or those of most light manufactures.
• Retrofitting to existing light units is an easy one-man operation that takes less than 10 minutes. It is as quick as changing a normal bulb. Only minimal rewiring of the light unit is required and all required materials are supplied.
• In most cases the mounting plate is designed to replace the normal clear lens component of the light and uses.
• By using long life LED technology the expected life of the LED light source is between 100,000 hrs to 200,000 hrs or well over 20 years of normal use. The light fitting will last the life of the system and there will never be a need to change a bulb. Light colour in the standard system is white. Other colours including Red Green Blue amber are available on request. 
• Ideal for high security or critical safety applications applications as the unit can be provided with a backup battery that will provide up to 2 hrs operation in the event of a power outage

Specifications:
Unlike normal bulb systems, the LEDs used in our system are embedded in a patented lens system so that all the light from the unit is contained in a tight beam that ensure the light is directed to where it is needed. This combined with very efficient electronics means that almost all the power that enters our system appears as light. Unlike other systems our quoted power rating is the total required input power to the system, not just the bulb power as is often the case. In the normal discharge bulb system commonly used in street-lights input power can be 30% more than the stated bulb power due to losses in the inverter. Our system also has an almost perfect power factor.

 The light that is generated is a warm white light that is tightly held within the indicated beam angle. When used at the specified height the light gives a circular light pattern ranging from 8 lux in the centre area to 1.5 lux at the edge of the indicated coverage area.

Technical description:
These systems use only the highest quality components and are designed to provide a moderate intensity light output for area illumination. The unit uses Sunlight’s patented LED lighting systems and solid-state electronic systems to give a totally reliable light. All power components are tested and certified to Australian and international standards.

 Light Source: The light source is based on  LED technology. As a result the light source has an expected time before failure of 100,000 hrs of operation, this means that in normal operation the bulb system will last for more than 20 years. Changing bulbs is a thing of the past with this system.

• The light can be supplied to provide light either in full, half or quarter circle configurations
• Light colours available are white, blue, silver, gold , red or green. For large quantities or special applications particular colours requirements can be matched

 Electronics: The system uses a patented  control system that is designed to ensure the light  always operates at peak efficiency. Current flows are controlled to ensure even lighting in all weather conditions. The power system allows use from AC voltages from 110V to 440V at either 50 or 60 Hz.

 The Unit can be DC powered directly allowing for the cost effective fitting of long life backup battery systems. Up to 2 hrs backup battery power can be provided to allow lighting in critical security of safety zones.
